i have 2 buddies that have the nomad and both love it. i recommend it based on the experience i have of their experience. so, kind of a second hand experience. has a lot of space though. i will say this about space. my mp3 player is only half-full, and i have LOTS of trouble deciding what i want to listen to. i normally end up putting it on random and just skipping til i hit a song i wanna hear. so like radio without commercials with the ability to fast forward.
i have an ipod. mp3 players are great. i can't imagine not having one now. radio sucks. cds suck. mp3 players are groovy.

Trust me...40 gigs can evaporate very quickly when you're obsessively addicted to music like (I'm assuming) everyone here. Lol.
