my husband. he's not very creative. he always asks me to give him a wish list for christmas, which i did. i even bookmarked some links at the gap of a few outfits i've been wanting for a while. i did this, hmm, about a month ago. so TODAY he goes, "can you print out that page from the gap that has the skirt you want?" WHAT THE f**k?! I mean I gave him a wish list but I don't want to know exactly what I'm getting. And I don't want to have to print the f**king page for him! That is so lame!!! It's like 4 days before Christmas, that nuts is sold out anyway! I hate it. He treats it like a chore. I bought his stuff a long time ago because I always enjoy buying gifts for him and get excited when I find something I think he would like. But he's like a f**king robot. "tell me what to buy and that is your gift can you print the page thank you very much i love you because i am supposed to" :crap:

my boyfriend is starting all his christmas shopping today. he always waits til the very last second. I got all his stuff the day after thanksgiving. dont let it get to you. ive gotten used to it after 4 years. if he is left freaking out and scrambling at the last second, the only person it hurts is himself, and it makes him look like a dumbass. so dont worry so hard.

yeah, normally i wait til the last minute to buy gifts too, but this year, i didn't have that liberty. had to buy them early. now i have nothing to do for the next couple days. S U C K S normally i would be hurrying from store to store rummaging through the leftovers looking for something "nice". hehehehehehehehe

i still have a few things to get. i think the reason i got so upset with todd this morning is because he asked me to print out a picture of the skirt. i just don't want to be THAT involved in the purchase of my gift. i told him i trust him to make a decision! he always picks out nice gifts.
dunno. just thought that was tacky. GAP sold out of it anyway

GAP sold out of it anyway you may as well buy yourself something totally fabulous, wrap it, put a tag on it from him, and then pretend to be surprised on christmas morning! my husband is usually the same way... he will come up with something creative every 5 years then he's spent. This year he's off the hook. We bought one of those sony mega bass under-the-counter CD players for our kitchen...that was our gift to each other...

Hah! Todd just gets really stuck on one thing. Like one year, just as a complete JOKE, I put Diamond Earrings on my list. I was totally kidding and he bought them for me! Not like big rocks or anything, but little hoops with tiny diamonds in them. I wear them like crazy because they're kind of understated. I'm not big on jewelry. Anyway, now he goes NUTS and thinks he has to buy a fabulous piece of jewelry for every birthday and every Christmas. I don't have the heart to tell him I really would rather have something else. So I just keep piling it on... I'm going to look like Tammy Faye! edit: well, that's not true. i'm not giving him much credit - he does pick out really classy, beautiful stuff.

I wonder why? does he just not think it's important to come up with a great idea to make you feel he put some thought into it? maybe he needs to go back to Husband Training 101.
the first few years, Ed was really inventive.... like when he gave me my minolta... first I opened this HUGE box ... and got through all the wrapping and tissue, only to find his old BOOT! we laughed our asses off... then he gave me the REAL present, which was great because up until then I hadn't really had a great 35 mm camera
so every now and then he has a great idea....
but this year, with moving and stuff, we already spent so much money this year... we're not going extravagant on stuff....
