... I stole these off The Dent....
You know you have been following Tori too long when... From Phyllis Spiece:
- you've got so many numbers on your hand you can't read which one it is today
- you are excited to see the time is 6:58
- you form a fan club for her body guard
- you ask the manager at Wal*Mart if they have any Tori barbie dolls
- you can give directions to any venue in the country
- $2 is enough to get you through an entire weekend
- a loaf of bread becomes your favorite all-purpose meal
- you know the entire setlist of "The Unbelievable Truth" and are singing along to every word
- you purchase The Unbelievable Truth's album because of a subliminal message ("We're The Unbelievable Truth, our album is out now, buy it.")
- you have MAD SKEELZ
- "pregnant dog" becomes your last name
- Mr. Puppethead becomes a celebrity
- Ticketbastard knows you on a first name basis
- every charge on your credit card (which has hit it's limit) is tori related
- the fact you don't have tickets doesnt stop you from waiting 12 hours outside the venue
- you love Toni Omos and his hit single "Spank"
- you can sing the Waffle House jingle
- you are able to give the "Magic Sharpie" speech at Meet and Greets
I don't know what some of them mean... but it's pretty funny

Or you remember when 'The Big Picture' video was aired on TV long before you knew who Tori Amos was... Yes, I do!

wow.... I never really got into her until about 4 years ago....
Y'know, it's funny.. I always try and introduce her music to people .... and so far nobody has liked her. not one single person. it blows me away. i guess people just aren't willing to expand their listening sometimes...

Probably because they're so used to having music as some sort of background noise. Disposable, refundable... To actually be affected by the lyrics, to have to think about the content, to have it act as a sort of soundtrack to your life and a comfort in times of need...well that's not how it's supposed to work is it?

they had this "charts 2000" thing on the radio the last couple of days, Tori wasn't in it even once, but stupid songs ala Celine Dion were...I live in a horrible, horrible country...

That's awful. Without Tori and Bjork and PJ there would've been no Avril or Alanis or Dido...
Pioneers all, but precious little recognition. It sucks harder than a Hoover with an industrial sized power plant hardwired into the mains.

I was looking at the 'Special Packaging' version of TB at the Tori Store and saw this:
"Special Packaging includes Bonus DVD
Includes over 25 minutes of interview footage as Tori talks about the songs and their origins as well as a unique glimpse behind the scenes at the photo shoot for The Beekeeper. The Bonus DVD also features the bonus track "Garlands" set to exclusive content from Tori's book, Piece by Piece, including photographs and text. The Special Packaging also includes a seed packet with a wild flower mix prepared especially for The Beekeeper."
DVD, Yay! New book, Yay! Seed Packet, WTF? Why not include a live bee while they're at it? Sounds suspiciously like a marketing ploy to me D'oh

Yeah i have a hard time getting people to listen to her. One time a co-worker (the jackass) gave me a Squirrel Nut Zippers CD that he burned for me and I said, "Oh, I'll burn you a Tori one in return!"
And he said, "Hell no, don't even bother. I won't listen to it."
 so I refuse to listen to his CD.
