If I was you I should talk with a physiotherapist about the pain in your left arm.
If you experience pain when you sit in front of the computer, or in a general office environment it might be a good idea to reconsider your posture. i.e. make sure that you sit in a correct way. Take brakes every now and then so you don't sit in front of the computer during long periods of time. Another good idea is to stretch your body before and after you sit in front of the computer, a physiotherapist can help you out with that more than I can do so go and see one!

maybe you should try a mouse with a scrollball....that way you don't have to move your arm... my friend had RSI and it helped for him

Will check that funny looking mouse too Kell yeah, they do look kind of funny ....but I'm sure they're compatible with Macs as well....and you move your cursor with the trackball (not the same as with the scrollwheel) so your arms stays in the same place..
