I caught the tail end of the first half of Extreme Makeover last night, where they made over this goth chick. At least that's what they called her (she had bright red dreds, multiple piercings, big gauges in her ears, 12-inch platform shoes, etc.)... They cut of her dreds, fixed the holes in her ears, blah blah blah. Basically made her look "normal."
they interviewed her friends after (who dress and look pretty much just like her) and one girl goes, "Oh my God, they turned her into a FREAK!"

 I hate those makeover shows Yeah... I'm not crazy about it. I can't watch the whole thing but sometimes I'll watch the end becasue I'm curious. the reaction of that goth chick's friend was sooo funny though |

i cant believe she wanted to look normal. really? i didn't think that was so weird... but i think they went over-the-top with it. there was no reason to completely give up her sense of style. she went from goth chick to elementary school teacher. actually i didn't see the beginning... why did she want to change her look so drastically? i could understand toning it down for a career or something. but completely obliterate it? that was nuts |

I think the most f**ked up makeover show I've seen is The Swan...where they turn homely housewives into all similar looking plastic barbie dolls that have to take part in some beauty pageant :shock:

I think the most f**ked up makeover show I've seen is The Swan...where they turn homely housewives into all similar looking plastic barbie dolls that have to take part in some beauty pageant  Oh I know....I hate that show, some of the women on there could do it themselves if they put forth some effort. |
