I cannot believe Paul Giamatti wasn't nominated for an Oscar, while Thomas Haden Church was. Am I missing something?

it makes me wanna go to napa valley! we went to Sonoma Valley for our honeymoon. It was so incredible - there is so much to do besides wine tasting. We rode horses on the beach (stinky and cold, but it SOUNDS romantic!), hiking in the redwoods, drove to San Fran for the day... *sigh* such an incredible trip!

hmm, I think that movie comes out here next week....might go and check it out....I only live 5 minutes from a movie theatre :bernie: ps I love horseriding on the beach! ...I remember this one time I was on a huge horse....I couldn't even look over its back standing next to it and I'm a tall tramp. When we started galopping (?) I couldn't hold it cause it was so strong even though I'm a pretty skilled rider. So I took off from the group alone until they were like some little dot in the distance behind me haha....it wasn't really scary or something cause it was going so fast he wouldn't even have the opportunity to do something weird....unless trip maybe...lol :blah:

I watched this yesterday. I really liked it a lot. I thought Paul G. was far more emotive than Thomas Hayden Church, although they both played their roles to the max.... you felt THC was a lost little scumbag on a last hurrah before he ties the knot and like him or not, he played the role great. Personally, I've always gotten a kick out of him..... he can shmooze perfectly.... and you pitied Paul G for stealing from his mother.... as well as his wife remarrying etc.
I laughed harder at remembering Sugarmum's comments on the movie as I went through.. the full frontal nudity etc. than I did at the actual movie. .... but tell ya what... it was a great little story... and I learned a LOT about wine....
It opened my eyes to the work and love that goes into the grapes and wine that these little vineyards produce. Very interesting ....
