awwww c'mon! i like the french! i hope to be studying there soon. I am half French but...........it was meant as a light hearted Joke, and its well know the English and French dont like each other and the Olymic bid thing was just a joke in the end between everyone. Especially Chiracs (spelling?) face when he didnt get it. ha ha |

France should've won, they clearly had more style than the London bid and most of the infrastructure is already in place. It's amazing what a boatload of virtual 3D graphical flybys can do.
And typically as soon as we'd won they announced that Londoners would be contributing £650m-or-something in taxes to help cover it. Well thanks a frigging lot you bastards, as if my mortgage and council tax don't take up a stupid amount of my pay-packet as it is

Still, it was almost...almost...worth it just to see the look on Chirac's pruny face, especially after he badmouthed our crappy cooking. His country eats snails and horses for chrissakes! Give me a Steak and Kidney pie and a Haggis anyday, good proper food. :wiggle:

While I don't think any of the foods you mentioned constitute food to me. I'd much rather choke down steak and kidney pie before ever trying a snail.

I think it's the internal organs of an animal other than muscles or bones....the so called "waste parts" like tongue, tail, heart, brain etc. :poke:

Hmmm when I was at the Euros last week in France there was like Team GB who had 42 drivers and France only had 22 and they were the hosts!
But anyway, we put up an England flag with 'London' in one corner, 'Paris' crossed out in the other then 2012 underneath and 'easy, easy you shut up' (random phrase we kept saying)... the French found it so funny they insisted they be allowed to use it in their team photo!
When I was in Paris I couldn't resist taking photos of the lil' 'Paris 2012' stickers they have in the metro windows... bless them...
