i was pushing some garlic through one of those garlic mincing things and i was looking right at it to see how it was coming along.
it hurt like a sonofapregnant dog!!!

oh wow... I got onion juice in my eye before... it does hurt like a bastard.... and hmmm... I got hot sauce in my eye one time.. not just ordinary hot sauce..This stuff was called Endorphin Rush.... it has a warning on the side "do not let come in contact with skin"... so a'course I had to get it in my eye...

holy nuts i bet that hurt! i rubbed my eye once after making jalepeno relish (i used my bare hands to combine all the ingredients). i literally cried! i can't imagine getting that sauce you're talking about in my eye. OW! :help:

OW! ugh... i burned my hands making salsa one time.. I didn't wear gloves... and that stuff was hot.... getting it in my eye was awful... we were out at a friend's camp... and I didn't want to make a big scene so I didn't tell anybody... just went back outside with a beer ... but I could feel my pulse beating out of my eye so I had to put an icecube RIGHT on my eyeball...it took HOURS to quit stinging

I didn't wear gloves... and that stuff was hot.... yeah i didn't know that either. even the skin under my fingernails was on fire. i will never do that again. and jalepenos aren't even hot compared to all the other peppers out there! but I could feel my pulse beating out of my eye so I had to put an icecube RIGHT on my eyeball...it took HOURS to quit stinging sheesh... i would have cried like a baby :cry:

i use a garlic mincer sometimes and my husband, the chef makes fun of me. he said it is the most horribliest thing to do to the garlic. when my mom was here she tried to throw it away. i guess they are taboo to culinary experts....along with the apple corer.

Chilli in the eye.... oh dear. AND it starts to eat away at your eye apparently... so hospital quick!! It happened to this boy in my food tech class... OUCH. So when i used them a few weeks later I was terrified!

I'm not sure about garlic and onions but I do know that lemon / lime drops are good for your eyes - hurt like a mofo too of course.
