Maybe expensive things make you feel sexy in a Marilyn Monroe type way?
I don't really do the big label clothing thing so I don't know...... expensive shoes on the other hand :drool:

the closest things i buy to expensive clothes are shoes, and only my "good" shoes. i don't really know why i have "good" shoes. i don't have ANY "nice" clothes. and as far as expensive goes, it's only about 120 bucks on some dr. martins about once every 5 years or so. and this time i got them for christmas, so i didn't even buy them myself.

I refuse to pay a ton of money for clothing :cow:
I don't even go to the expensive clothing stores. This one time they had this awesome looking pair of jeans on the window and I checked it out to see how much it cost -- 600 bucks!!! I was soo schocked.... that wasn't even a real expensive store... I buy jeans for 70 bucks for crying out loud!!!

I just paid $29 for a pair at The Gap the other day... but then I have always heard that jeans are expensive anywhere outside of the US. Dunno if that's true. I consider anything over $50 per item to be expensive. Over $100 and I'm starting to think it's ridiculous, unless I'm drooling over it. Then I think it's completely reasonable. :yeah: |

The most expensive bit of clothing I own (I think) is a jumper I bought from this kickass store in York called 'FatFace'... £40. It was a bit of a crazy moment though. It's the effect my best friend and her mum have on me because they're pretty well off (they own 2 factories and a pizza shop) so I don't think anything of spending a lot when I'm with them.... sheeshk.

Then I think it's completely reasonable.  70 bucks in "brasilian real" is about 22-25 american dollars. there is roughly a 3 to 1 conversion. |
