I think it's an area in the south of France near Marseille (Minervois that is)....I usually like most red wines too, but I prefer spanish or south american ones that are a little spicy...I don't have white wine often but I did on New Year's Eve....I think white is a good choice for turkey!

It's about 2 euros a bottle which is about US $ 2.75!!

that's quite cheap! good for you! heehee... Wine in Canada seems pretty expensive for a decent brand...
when I lived in Ontario, they have a Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO for short) .... the LCBO is the biggest buyer of wine in the world.... I went for a couple of wine tasting seminars ... it was lots of fun to learn about the palate and the different tastes that vintners try to reflect into the wines...
I have frozen grapes on my vines in the yard! I should make some ICE WINE! the grapes are sooooo sweet.. ! it's amazing that the birds didn't eat them all by now.

You can get a great wine here for less than $5....unless you want something really exquisite etc. I've never been to any wine tasting stuff, but I'd like to know more about it.....it's interesting! I know nuts about the 'technical' stuff now, I just know what I like haha! I've never had any ice wine!
