Aside from ironing (which I hate with a passion that is borne from the depths of hell itself) The nastiest chore has to be cleaning the toilet. Earlier today I realised I hadn't done it since the new year, and since I can't afford a maid I had to bite the bullet and get it done. There's something about it I find so repugnant. It's not as if I'm a complete slob and nuts and piss all over the place, it's a mental thing. the thought of cleaning up all that 'crust'. Blech. Anyone who's cleaned a toilet knows that to get right to the back/underside you have to stretch, bringing your face perilously close to the bowl. Even though I'd already dumped half a bottle of bleach on it by then (making it cleaner than my dinner plates) I was still gagging at the thought. I felt so traumatised by it I had to have a quick snifter of Port and a sit down Anybody else got some awful (but necessary) chores that they want to badmouth here?

I used to be a janitor. I have cleaned some terrifying toilets in my lifetime, not to mention other places. One of my jobs was to scrub out all of the garbage cans. That is about 40 cans per floor.

I have no problems with cleaning the toilet whatsoever....not that I actually enjoy doing it.....I hate ironing too though.....the chore I mind doing least is doing the dishes :bernie:

ironing
i simply can't do it right so none of my clothes need ironing
not to mention all the heat that it puts out!!
I do have someone that comes over once a week to clean the apartment, but when I used to clean it myself, cleaning the toilet wasn't as bad as vacuuming - but that's cause my vacuum cleaner was a worthless piece of crap.
