I just posted the following at the Pool as well, and post it here now as well (Trying to focus on the positive lol): ----------------------------------------------------------- Well, I got some replies. One such reply gave me an idea. They said, in effect, "I don't feel I did anything worth apologizing for, but if I did anything that hurt anybody, for whatever it's worth, I'm sorry."
That's the kind of face-saving apology I'm searching for from everyone involved on both sides. It allows both sides to save face, but also offers hope for a fresh start whereby the two groups can be separate, yet not antagonizing one another.
Is that worth pursuing at all whatsoever?
And I know there are two challenges to that. 1) People who say, "But we didn't do anything. Why should we apologize?" and 2) People who say, "But apologizing without admiting guilt isn't sufficient, and is hollow."
To group 1 I offer this thought: Sometimes things can be done that aren't intended to hurt, that still do. To group 2 I suggest: Any apology is better than none, and is a gesture of good will; an olive branch. -----------------------------------------------------------

It's an internet forum ffs!! The only thing I'm objecting to is losing friends that i'm close to!! It's quite amusing though, it's like being back in primary school, we're not even this squabbly in my school now!!

maybe it's cynical to say it won't happen, but i don't even really see why it's necessary.
